Hello, I’m Jude Blereau and Wholefood Cooking is all about real food, that’s good enough to eat and has the ability to heal, nourish and delight.

As a pioneer, leader and respected authority of the wholefoods industry, I’ve been living a wholefood life long before ‘wholefood’ was a buzzword for healthy living. I set out some 25 years ago now to effect change in how we value, grow, produce, prepare, relate to and eat food. It’s taken me years to learn what I know, but a lifetime to truly understand what I know and place it within a wholistic framework.

I’ve always believed that food is not something that simply stops us from feeling hungry. It is exactly the same as love, an elemental human need and together, they sustain and nourish us, providing fuel for our hearts and bodies to grow and our lives to fulfill their potential. It is never just about the food we eat. It is always about nourishing both the body and soul, and this philosophy is at the heart of what I call a wholistic approach.

I've been passionate about the quality of our soil over the years, and this has included being involved from the top down, with the Organic Federation of Australia (OFA), both as a board director, and as a member of the Consumer Council. I am very proud of the work that we did during that time, ensuring the future of the one logo for all certified organic product in Australia. 

Yes, it’s a jungle out there, with so much confusing information telling you what wholesome, healthy, ethical and sustainable eating is all about. I love giving you the information and practical tools that you need to carve an achievable path through it all.  My wholistic approach condenses everything that I’ve learnt, practiced and refined over 20 years of teaching and writing 5 bestselling, award winning wholefood books. I adore it when my students report the positive changes for the better in their lives. I know it works, and I know that it will effect delicious, nourishing changes for you and those you love, far more easily than you may think possible.

I'm incredibly proud that my books contain a large amount of knowledge, know how and recipes, but essentially, there's only so much I can fit into a book! Only so many recipes and only so much information and know how. There's always so much more! In class there are also time schedules to be met. Online classes and programs allows me to share so much more with you, and you can stop, pause or rewind as I cook (we certainly can't do that in class!). Best of all, thanks to technology, no matter wherever you are in the world, we can work together. As the online platform progresses, we will attune classes to cater for both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
